Jurassic Park (1993)

In this episode, SGS team is joined by Michael to discuss one of his favourite films, the #StevenSpielberg 1993 crowd pleaser #JurassicPark, starring #SamNeill (#EventHorizon, #DeathInBrunswick, #LauraDern (#Mask, #Wild) #JeffGoldblum (#TheFly, #EarthGirlsAreEasy) #SamuelLJackson (#Shaft, #SnakesOnAPlane) and #RichardAttenborough (#TheGreatEscape, #Ghandi).

Discussion points include: The sex appeal of Jeff Goldblum, #MichaelCrighton’s novels, as well contributions of #GeorgeLucas and #DavidKoepp. We also discuss #JamesCameron’s pitch and attempt to buy the rights, the near casting of #HarrisonFord and #ArnoldSchwarzenegger. We conclude with the flaws of the film and why audiences are so forgiving of logically fallacies and pseudoscience in #Spielberg’s film.

There will be a second Jurassic Park episode, focusing on the sequels in the near future.
